Mariana is a 20-year-old, from Long Island, NY. Her love for both music and writing has always been a core part of who she is. Growing up, music was an essential part of Mariana's life. It became her form of communication with others especially when words felt hard to find. Mariana was fortunate to grow up in a home that encouraged passion in all its forms, and for her, that passion has always been music. Mariana's mother introduced her to the world of Spanish music, more specifically Spanish rock, where she first experienced music’s power to connect people, extending beyond their culture and bridging all kinds of differences. Over time, that love evolved into a deep curiosity about how music shapes identity and unites people from all walks of life.  Mariana is an advocate for musicians and writers, shedding light on their stories of how they came to be.

 

What she loves most about music is that it knows no limits. It’s a language of its own and one that Mariana understands,  it is capable of expressing the inexpressible and forging connections between people who might otherwise never cross paths.
